  • Raised in Wyoming, MI since 1985
  • Proud member of 87+ strong West Michigan family, including Grandmother Dorothy Simon-Tibbe, first female Planning Commissioner in Wyoming and co-author of two history of Wyoming books: “The City of Wyoming-A History” and “Wilderness to Wyoming”
  • Attended Wyoming Park High School
  • Miss Greater Grand Rapids, 1997-98 and Miss Michigan pageant competitor
  • First teenage job: ice cream scooper at the Burlingame Dairy Dip
  • Graduated from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, B.A. International Relations, 2002
  • Graduated from Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School, J.D, Litigation Major, 2005
  • Active Michigan attorney license and State Bar member since 2005
  • 16 year work history as an attorney, with almost a decade of Human Resources experience within one of our country’s most prestigious national laboratories
  • Volunteer with various civic organizations:
    • Kiwanis Club, South Lyon, MI
    • Junior League, Lubbock, Texas
    • Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club
    • Numerous political and judicial campaigns in Michigan since youth
  • Mom to a wonderful elementary-age daughter (the first-generation U.S. born child in our immediate family)
  • Outside interests include: making crafts, singing for the Old St. Pat’s auditioned choir at Chicago’s Symphony Center and Auditorium Theatre, traveling within our beautiful country, and reading voraciously.
